We know choosing a university is an important decision. We also know an education at Ferris State University is a good investment. Here’s why:
Our founders, Woodbridge and Helen Ferris, had some pretty high goals when they opened the Ferris Industrial School in 1884. Those goals are part of our university’s mission today: to prepare students for successful careers, responsible citizenship and life-long learning.
Woodbridge N. Ferris was a leader committed to providing an education to anyone willing to work for it. He was an educator, governor of the state of Michigan and a United States senator. He lived a life of service, and he expected no different from his students.
Neither do we.
Ferris offers more than 180 degrees, from associate to doctorate. We specialize in career-focused education enhanced by innovative resources, industry advisory boards and internship opportunities.
We have the largest number of professional majors in high-demand fields, more than any other university in Michigan. We have eight academic colleges with schools and departments of specialized education. That means choices.
Lots of them.
