BIG RAPIDS, Mich. —

The resurgent Detroit Pistons provide an opportunity for Ferris State University alumni and friends to share company at Little Caesars Arena on Friday, Jan. 31, as the Dallas Mavericks come to call on Ferris State Night.

The Pistons and Mavericks tip off at 7 p.m.

Executive Director of Ferris State’s Alumni Association Brandi Behrenwald said Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park and Ford Field all serve as exciting gathering points for current and former students, backers of the university and those seeing the group’s excitement who consider joining in the fun.

“Going to these venues presents a chance to come together as Bulldogs. Over the years, our supporters have really shown up in Ferris colors to make their presence known,” Behrenwald said. “We look forward to President Bill Pink joining us that evening. He knows our events are a great way to meet potential students and their parents, along with Bulldogs of all ages from southeast Michigan and beyond.”

The Alumni Association has secured a package of special amenities not available to the public for those who register and purchase tickets through their site. Those who choose tickets for the North End Club of Little Caesars Arena can enjoy unlimited food and non-alcoholic beverages for a VIP experience at an affordable price.

“We are very excited by the co-branded Pistons/Ferris hooded sweatshirt we will give out as a memento that night,” Behrenwald said. “The Pistons also return a portion of each ticket purchased through our site to support the association’s Legacy Scholarship, available to students whose parent, sibling, grandparent, son or daughter is a Ferris State University graduate. Our Alumni event calendar last year provided more than $34 thousand for those scholarship awards.”

The Pistons’ Cade Cunningham is having an All-Star caliber season in his fourth year in Detroit. Mavericks' stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving are working back into Dallas’ rotation after each was injured near the holidays.

The Alumni Association also offers webinars for their membership each month with insights from a variety of experts.
