Crystal Mountain hosting 2025 Ferris Bulldog Ski and Ride Day on Feb. 28 with discounts for students, alumni, and employees
Family and friends interested in an opportunity to hit the slopes can do so as the Ferris State University Alumni Association is partnering with Crystal Mountain for the all-day event on Friday, Feb. 28.
Crystal Mountain, 12500 Crystal Mountain Drive in Thompsonville, is offering a $25 lift ticket, a $25 ticket equipment rental and $25 for a group lesson on Ferris State Bulldog Day.
Ferris State and Crystal Mountain in April 2023 signed a partnership agreement providing a wide range of career exploration, employment and internship opportunities for students, and employee training options.
“We are so excited to partner with Crystal Mountain and are thankful for such an amazing discount for our Bulldog/Ferris community,” said Brandi Behrenwald, executive director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. “We also need our Bulldogs to keep their eyes open because I hear Brutus himself will be making an appearance to visit with attendees on the slopes.”
This ticket package is available to all Ferris State students, faculty, staff and alumni. The lift ticket is an opportunity for students, alumni, faculty and staff to ski and ride with an open-to-close lift ticket.
Anyone interested without a Crystal Card will be required to purchase one for $2 at checkout. Also, Ferris State guests can sign up for a beginner ski group or snowboard lesson on Feb. 28.
Professional instructors teach the basic movements, gliding, stopping, turning and more during a two-hour lesson for beginners. Lesson times are 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Lesson bookings inside of 24 hours are booked by calling Snowsports directly at (231) 378-4776.
