Ferris State University’s Department of Public Safety, the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration join forces to host a Fall 2023 Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the David L. Eisler Center, 805 Campus Drive on Ferris’ Big Rapids campus.
This biannual service provides a collection opportunity to take and dispose of unused prescription medications safely. One of the primary goals of this effort is to prevent pill abuse and theft by safely freeing homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
Drug Take Back Day is a free and anonymous service. The event organizers are unable to accept liquids, needles or other sharps.
