"This (event) provides a unique opportunity to meet and interact with the 2008-09 Ferris State hockey team, "said Daniels. "Those who attend will also have a chance to meet our incoming freshmen and hear from a number of our returning players.
"We want to reach out to more hockey fans in the surrounding communities and believe this event is a good way to start off the new season," Daniels added.
The preseason "Faceoff" is being initiated to preview the upcoming 2008-09 season along with meeting the Bulldog hockey student-athletes and interacting with fellow Ferris State hockey fans.
Ferris State will open its 31st season of NCAA Division I intercollegiate play Sunday, Oct. 5, with an exhibition contest against Windsor (Ontario).
