COMCAST TO TELEVISE TWO FEBRUARY FERRIS STATE HOCKEY CONTESTS
Bulldogs' Games At Bowling Green State and Alaska To Be Showcased
|Justin Menke and the Ferris State Bulldogs will be showcased on Comcast Television's Saturday Night CCHA Game of the Week twice in February.
The Ferris State University men's ice hockey team will continue to receive television exposure during the last half of the 2008-09 regular season as the Bulldogs will be appearing on Comcast Television (CTV) for two consecutive weekends (Feb. 14 and 21) in a pair of Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) road outings.
Ferris State will be highlighted twice on Comcast Television's Saturday Night CCHA Game of the Week package this February. The Bulldogs' league series finale at Bowling Green State on Saturday, Feb. 14, will be shown on CTV at 7:05 p.m. (EST). Ferris then will appear exactly a week later on Saturday, Feb. 21, when the Bulldogs' contest at Alaska will be aired. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 9:05 p.m. (EST) and the series finale tilt will also be shown throughout Canada via CTV's regional networks and the National Hockey League (NHL) Network.
CTV is offered on Comcast's digital tier, Channel 900, to about 800,000 customers in the state of Michigan. Ben Holden serves as the primary play-by-play broadcaster for CTV with game analysis provided by former CCHA players Sean Ritchlin and Lyle Phair.
The Bulldogs, under 17th-year head coach Bob Daniels, are currently 10-11-5 overall with a seventh-place 7-8-3-0 CCHA record to date this season.
