A pair of former 2007-08 Ferris State University men's ice hockey team members, Adam Miller (Livonia) and Jim Jorgensen (Sault Ste. Marie) recently signed professional contracts with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

Miller made his pro debut with the Wranglers on March 18 and Jorgensen inked with the club on March 20.

As of March 25, Miller has recorded two points with a goal and an assist in four contests while Jorgensen has a point (an assist) in three outings.

The Wrangers, under head coach Glen Gulutzan, currently hold the top place in the Pacific Division of the National Conference within the ECHL.

Miller placed second among Ferris State's 2007-08 scoring leaders with a career season-high 27 points on nine goals and 18 assists in 39 games. The 6-0, 178-pound center finished with a plus four efficiency rating to go with two power-play goals and a pair of game-winning lamplighters. He also compiled three multiple-point game performances this campaign.

In 146 career contests, Miller accumulated 76 points with 30 goals and 46 assists. The Bulldog forward produced 12 power-play markers and five game-winning goals during his four-year (2004-08) collegiate career.

Jorgensen saw ice time in 28 outings this season and posted seven points on a goal with six assists to rank tied for 14th place in team scoring. The 5-11, 200-pound defender concluded his four-year (2004-08) career with seven goals and 32 assists for 39 points in 114 encounters. Jorgensen, who was the Bulldogs' top-scoring defensemen with 16 points (1-15=16) in the 2005-06 campaign, also generated a power-play tally and had one game-winning marker in his career.

The two played key roles in leading Ferris State to an 18-16-5 overall record for the 2007-08 season as the Bulldogs captured fifth-place in the CCHA with a 12-12-4 league mark (28 points). Ferris' 18 victories and fifth-place league finish were the program's highest since the 2002-03 season.
