FSU GRIDIRON CLUB TO HOLD ANNUAL SPRING PRACTICE EVENT
Annual Club Receptions To Be Held In Conjunction WIth Spring Football Game
The Ferris State University Gridiron Club will be sponsoring its third annual FSU Gridiron Spring Tailgate Friday, April 25, at the Elks Club in Big Rapids following the conclusion of the annual Bulldog football team’s spring game at Top Taggart Field on the Ferris State campus.
The tailgate reception, which is open to the public, will be held from 9 p.m.-12 a.m. (EDT) and a cash bar will be available. Dan Kirwin and Sound System III will provide music and the cost for the dance is free as part of member appreciation night. FSU Gridiron Club members and non-members alike are encouraged to bring their favorite tailgate snacks, which will be judged for “The Best FSU Tailgate Snack.” Ina Place received top honors for having the best tailgate snack at last year’s event.
Prior to this season’s spring football contest, a pre-game open house reception will be held in the Wheeler Pavilion at Top Taggart Field, starting at 5:30 p.m. (EDT). Complimentary refreshments and light snacks will be served. The pre-game event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend.

Opening kickoff for the 2003 spring gridiron contest is set for 6 p.m. (EDT) at Top Taggart Field. Ferris State officially kicks off its 95th season of varsity competition Saturday, Sept. 6, against the Hillsdale College Chargers in Hillsdale, Mich. Starting time for the non-conference contest is 7 p.m. (EDT) at HC’s Frank “Muddy” Waters Stadium.
