FERRIS STATE FOOTBALL AWARDS BANQUET SET FOR NOV. 9

All Bulldog Fans Are Welcome and Encouraged To Attend

The Ferris State University football team will celebrate yet another successful campaign in its 100th season of varsity competition by holding its annual awards banquet on Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center in Big Rapids, Mich.

Festivities will begin at 12:30 p.m. (EST) with lunch to be served at 1 p.m. (EST) and the awards program set to start at 2 p.m.

All Bulldog fans and parents are invited and encouraged to attend the annual event. The cost is $20 per person and payment will be accepted at the door on the day of the banquet. However, parents and fans are also asked to please RSVP by e-mail to Assistant Coach Allen Curtiss (curtisa3@ferris.edu) or call Athletics Department Secretary Lisa Weiler at (231) 591-2860 by this Friday (Oct. 31) so the proper arrangements can be made.

The annual FSU football banquet is a special event that gives the Bulldogs an opportunity to bring the entire Ferris football family together. Head coach Jeff Pierce along with selected players and staff will speak at the banquet. In addition, a number of team awards will be presented, including the squad's prestigious Most Valuable Player Award for the 2008 campaign.

The banquet will occur the day following Ferris' final regular-season contest of the season, which is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, when the Bulldogs host the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals in a 12 p.m. (EST) Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) encounter at Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids. The game will also represent Ferris' annual Senior Day outing as the team's seniors will be honored prior to their final home contest.
