Notes:

** Ferris State reached the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament for the third consecutive campaign last year (2001-02) before being eliminated by Hillsdale. FSU finished the year with a 14-12 overall mark, which included a fourth-place 10-8 GLIAC North Division finish.

** Fifth-year FSU head coach Tracey Fisk needs two more wins to tie Lori Hyman (72-86; 1989-95) for second place on the school's career coaching victory list. Fisk has compiled a 70-40 (.636) record in four seasons at Ferris State.

** Junior forward/center Bridget Horwitz (Auburn, Ind./DeKalb) was a second-team 2001-02 GLIAC North Division pick after registering 15 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Horwitz currently ranks third (58) among the schoolís career blocks leaders and is eighth in career field goal percentage (.475; 244-514) at Ferris State.

** Junior guard Lucy DeMartin (Mason) earned second-team Verizon Academic All-District IV recognition last season. She averaged 14.2 points per game a year ago and presently ranks second (.837; 159-190) on the schoolís career free throw percentage list.

** FSU has posted five-straight winning seasons. The Bulldogs last reached the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional Tournament during the 1999-2000 campaign.

** The 2001-02 Bulldog squad ranked 21st overall in the Womenís Basketball Coaches Association Division II Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll list for the third straight season. FSU compiled a 3.313 cumulative grade point average and was one of three GLIAC schools among the top 25. Ferris State recorded the nationís best team gpa during the 1999-2000 campaign (3.534).
