Ferris State basketball fans will have a chance to watch the "Ferris Idols" competition this Saturday

Fans in attendance at this Saturday’s (Feb. 14) Ferris State University men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader against Northern Michigan will have an opportunity once again to watch the final round of the annual “Ferris Idols” competition.

Six contests will compete for the right to be crowned as the Bulldog Idol at halftime of the women’s Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contest. The top three then will be invited back to perform on the microphone at halftime of the men’s game with the winner being announced during the second half of the contest.

The Ferris Idols competition has traditionally been held in conjunction with a FSU home basketball contest the last several years.

Saturday’s women’s game tips off at 1 p.m. (EST) with the men’s game to follow at approximately 3 p.m. (EST). Tickets will be available for the Valentine's Day doubleheader at the door starting one hour prior to the women's tipoff or call (231) 591-2888 for more information.

Prior to Saturday’s twin bill, the Bulldogs will host Michigan Tech on Thursday (Feb. 12) night in league play starting at 6 p.m. (EST) for the women and the men’s game set for an 8 p.m. (EST) start inside Wink Arena.
