Ferris State University’s Office of Multicultural Student Services is continuing a long-time program designed to help new students successfully transition to the college lifestyle as it hosts “Transition to Success” on Monday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Rankin Student Center Dome Room.
“Transition to Success,” a minority student orientation program, is geared toward providing resources and a networking platform for incoming students. New Ferris students will have opportunities to meet campus student leaders, faculty and staff to become familiar with available support services.
“This program allows us to present students with information as it relates to student leadership development and assisting them in finding the resources needed to make a successful transition from high school to college,” said Michael Wade, assistant director of OMSS. “Our office has effectively organized this program for more than 10 years.”
Light refreshments will be served and some free back-to-school giveaways will be handed out.
