Wolverine Building Group Donates $2,000 to Associated Construction Students

The Ferris State Universitrailerty Associated Construction Students received a $2,000 donation from the Wolverine Building Group, of Grand Rapids, to purchase equipment needed to help serve the local community.

The donation from the Wolverine Building Group was pursued by Ferris senior Patrick Kelly, who is majoring in Construction Management. The money will aid the student group in purchasing necessary hand tools that will be used by the group for community service projects.

“It simply allows the ACS to go out and purchase necessary tools to fulfill their goal of helping the community,” said Lee Templin, associate professor of Construction Technology and Management at Ferris and ACS faculty adviser.

Templin said the student group also received a tool trailer with donated tools from Pioneer Construction of Grand Rapids. The trailer will provide space for the group’s tools and equipment.

ACS is an organization for students majoring in Construction Management with goals to promote professionalism and gain experiences outside of the classroom.
