The importance of professional automobile repair in today's mobile society cannot be overstated. Skilled technicians are needed to perform preventive maintenance, wide ranging repairs, and adjustments. Today’s technicians need to possess an in-depth knowledge of various vehicle systems in order to perform accurate automotive system corrections.
Ferris State University has been educating automotive service students for more than 50 years. You will find our graduates in many areas of the automotive service profession. Our students complete more than 1,080 hours of instruction on more than 100 manufacturer donated vehicles under the supervision of full-time automotive service faculty.
Students who obtain the Associates in Automotive Service Technology have the opportunity to build upon their education by pursuing a bachelor's degree in Automotive Management or Automotive Engineering Technology within the School of Automotive and Heavy Equipment.
