Ferris State University offers a Minor in Theatre Arts. This program is open to all Ferris students and was created to complement any field of study.
Students from all Majors from Business to Education to Nursing can gain knowledge and confidence while pursuing the Theatre Arts Minor. The Theatre Arts Minor is also seen as a direct asset to such programs as Communication, Music Industry Management and Television & Digital Media Production.
Students who opt for the Theatre Arts Minor are required to take classes in all facets of the theatre from performance to technical considerations, giving them a well-rounded viewpoint and a great deal of experience in teamwork, creative problem-solving and management. Students completing the Theatre Arts minor will have practical knowledge and proficiency in activities such as scenic construction, performance and collaboration useful for any profession.
