Globalization Initiative

Globalization, the integration of societies, economies, cultures, and political systems, has resulted in tremendous advances in how societies trade and communicate knowledge and goods. As millions of people around the world are looking for quality higher education, colleges and universities are at a unique crossroads. In response to this Ferris has begun a rich dialog about globalization and its impact on the University. This Globalization Initiative comprises of three main goals:

  1. Identify and promote ways to increase the success of Ferris students in a global marketplace.
  2. Encourage the design of courses and programs to address issues and needs of a globalized economy.
  3. Create avenues for faculty, staff and students to discuss and learn about globalization and its impact on higher education in general and Ferris in particular.
