The Ferris Construction Management Program provides students with a foundation in basic construction technology, mathematics, science, and construction management training. Students who graduate from a construction management program at Ferris will have received the combined technical instruction and business education for a student to manage and supervise the entire construction process.

Ferris students enrolled in construction management training may select one of two concentrations commercial and industrial or highway and bridge.

Construction Management Programs at Ferris prepare students for leaderships roles in general contracting, project coordination, field supervision, quality assurance and control, project estimating, marketing, field inspection, and subcontracting.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the College of Technology is open to high school graduates who demonstrate academic preparedness, maturity and seriousness of purpose with backgrounds appropriate to their chosen program of studies. Among first-time students in our technical programs, the average high school GPA is 2.8, and the average ACT composite score is 20.

Students may enter the Construction Management program as freshmen or transfer students, or after completion of a two-year associate degree program from any accredited college or university. Freshman must have a minimum 2.0 high school GPA and a minimum ACT math sub score of 19. Transfer students must have a minimum 2.0 college GPA.

Graduation Requirements

The Construction Management program at Ferris State University leads to an accredited bachelor's of science degree. Graduation requires a minimum 2.0 GPA in core classes, in the major and overall. Students must complete all general education requirements as outlined on the General Education website.
