Students Awarded Medals in Word Skills Americas Competition

Congratulations! Gold medalist, automotive student, Kieron Kohlmann and Bronze medalist, manufacturing student, Ronald Olkowski from the World Skills Americas competition.

More than 20 countries participated in the second World Skills Americas competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil from November 11th through the 18th. The College of Engineering Technology students Kieron Kohlmann (of the Automotive program) and Ronald Olkowski (of the Manufacturing program) were two of the 11 members of the Skills USA team testing their knowledge and skills. Kieron won gold in the Auto Mechanics competition and was voted best in nation for the USA. Ron won bronze in the CNC Turning competition.
