Tennis Management Alum Wins National Award

October 3, 2014

Kyle LaCroix, a 2004 Professional Tennis Management (PTM) graduate and current member of the Ferris PTM Advisory Board, was presented with the United States Professional Tennis Association (USTPA) George Basco National Tester of the Year Award on August 23, 2014 .

The USTPA National Tester Award is given in honor of the late George Basco, a 32-year USPTA member, national president, and long-time director of certification and academies. Basco encouraged USPTM members to become better instructors so that every new player would receive the best instruction possible.

As this year’s award recipient, LaCroix is recognized for living out Basco’s values in his position as a USPTA Tester who certifies and grades the teaching and tennis management skills of prospective tennis teaching professionals.

LaCroix works as the head tennis professional and director of marketing and membership communications at The Oaks at Boca Raton in Florida. In addition to his service on the Ferris PTM Board, he also serves on USPTA National College Curriculum Committee and The USPTA Florida Division Under 30 Initiative.
