Professional activities and areas of interest
Professor Catherine Browers teaches undergraduate and graduate level Accounting, Finance, and Management courses at Ferris State University. She has over 25 years of administrative accounting and finance experience in public, private, and non-profit organizations. Her career has also included expertise in labor negotiations, grant writing, budget processing and analysis, and organizational leadership. In addition to these professional activities, Browers is the owner and executive officer of Integrated Professional Resources, which provides financial consulting and grant writing services to non-profit and educational organizations.
In her free time, Browers enjoys being involved with her local church and community. Browers is also the founder of Reed City’s “Halloween in the Park”, which is a child friendly “trick-or-treat activity”. She and her husband also raise beef cattle for sale in the Mecosta County and surrounding areas. She is currently the chairman of the Woodbridge Group Board, and the vice president of the board education at Chippewa Hills School District in Mecosta County. She is also a member of American Education Research Association (AERA), the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), and Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK).
