Insurance is one of life’s “required essentials”. Everybody needs it: individuals, businesses, governmental units, and non-profit organizations. The Insurance and Risk Management program at Ferris thoroughly covers:

• Employee Benefits
• Personal Insurance
• Insurance Company Operations

Students completing this program will earn a Bachelor of Science in Business – Insurance and Risk Management Degree. Plenty of internship and employment opportunities make this program especially attractive. There is also a certificate (12 credits) or a minor (18) to enhance any degree. Graduates will enjoy positions in computer technology, operations, customer service, and marketing, actuary science, management, and risk analysis, just to name a few. The future is very bright in this profession. Courses in this program are delivered in Big Rapids and some are offered on-line.

In addition to existing regional and state accreditation, this program will qualify and apply for ACBSP professional accreditation upon graduation of its first cohort.
