Professional activities and areas of interest

Professor Barraco joined the Ferris ISI program as a full-time faculty member in the fall of 2014. Prior to this she taught as an adjunct faculty member at Ferris State University, St. Clair County Community College, and Baker College. She also taught as full-time faculty at Baker College and St. Clair Technical Education Center.

During her twenty year career in private industry she served as an EMR Project Manager, Technology Transfer Agent, Information Systems Coordinator, and Application Developer. As a consultant, she developed desktop and web-based applications, designed ecommerce web sites, designed and implemented security programs, acted as a Physician Liaison during EMR implementations, and developed a web-based system for the call center of a major utility company

In her personal time, Professor Barraco enjoys watching her daughter's acting and dancing performances, spending time with her family, taking long walks in the country, and vacationing in northern Michigan.
