Operations and Supply Management Students Expand Networks

December 1, 2016

Students from the Operations and Supply Management program here at Ferris State University recently attended the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) monthly meeting with Professor David Marion.

The meetings are focused on professional development, and give students the opportunity to learn about topics that are not usually discussed in the classroom. They also provide a great opportunity for Ferris students to network with other students and professionals that come from a variety of industries and positions.

“I’d recommend these meetings to others who are interested in learning more about the numerous opportunities within operations and supply chain management,” said Downs.

To create a more friendly, fun atmosphere, the APICS board raffles off door prizes, which include gift cards and various APICS merchandise. At the last meeting, Operations and Supply Management student, Paula Downs won an APICS bag.

For more information about these professional development meetings, check out the APICS website.
