Information Security and Intelligence Program at Ferris becomes an AWS Academy

The Information Security and Intelligence program at Ferris State University has recently become an AWS Academy and Gerald Emerick, ISI faculty, has recently become an AWS Certified Solutions Architect and AWS Academy Accredited Instructor.

A new Cloud Security and Penetration Testing course will be offered in the program starting in the Fall of 2018 that integrates the AWS Solutions Architect curriculum. Students will learn to architect secure solutions using cloud-computing services from AWS. Ferris State is one of a small number of universities in the country that are accredited to offer this curriculum and student experience. AWS architect and security skills have recently become some of the most sought after skills in the information systems and security disciplines.

The Information Security and Intelligence program is ranked among the top 25 cyber security programs nationally, preparing students for careers in computer forensics, cyber security, data analytics/big data, incident response, and mobile security.
