Hospitality Management Students Complete Housekeeping 101 Externship at Courtyard, JW Marriott, and Amway
March 21, 2018
Four Hospitality Management students spent Spring Break participating in a Housekeeping 101 Externship hosted by the Courtyard, JW Marriott, and Amway in Grand Rapids.
During this experience, students Joel Poirier, Jennifer Orent, Nicholas Oatley, and Oliver Wissman learned the various Housekeeping roles and what each does on a daily basis while actually performing on-the-job tasks for a “day in a life.” As part of the externship, students earned the Certified Tourism Ambassador, enjoyed an “Experience Stay,” completed a project, and received an AHC Housekeeping 101 Externship certification.
