September 22, 2016

The Hospitality Management Student Association (HMSA) had the opportunity to serve German beers, ciders, and wines at the German Fest here in Big Rapids, MI on Friday, Sept. 16.

These hospitality students worked directly with Scott Rios, one of the organizers of the annual fundraising event. Their efforts allowed for over 1,000 guests to enjoy an evening filled with authentic German food, drink, and live music. .

“This is a great example of learning in action and working with the community for a non profit organization fundraiser,” said Hospitality Professor Julie Doyle. “All students were certified to serve alcohol responsibly, and they combined this with their hospitality smiles to make this an enjoyable evening.”
