Ethical Hacker Certification Earned by Information Security and Intelligence Students

May 3, 2017

Twelve Information Security and Intelligence students earned the The Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) certification, an internationally recognized and highly respected certification, on April 22nd as part of their capstone experience course.    The certification is highly desired amongst employers and is often a prerequisite for employment in positions such as Information Security Analyst, Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacker, and others.   The exam is a 4 hour exam that typically requires 2 years of experience in industry to qualify to attempt the exam.   Due to the ISI program’s unique accreditation and partnership with EC Council, Ferris ISI students were able to prepare for and attempt the exam as part of their degree experience.    What is also impressive is that the exam has a 68% pass rate in industry.   Our ISI students achieved over a 92% pass rate.    In addition to the C|EH certification, other ISI students earned certifications in Security+, Network+, and ISC2 HCISSP in the capstone course.
