COB’s Evan Pazkowski elected Homecoming King
October 13, 2014
On October 4, Evan Pazkowski was elected 2014 Homecoming King. A senior majoring in Marketing, Pazkowski is very involved not only within the College of Business, but all over campus.
What does it mean to you to have won Homecoming King?
Winning Homecoming King is the biggest honor I can imagine for my time at Ferris. Most of the people I’ve met at Ferris have changed my life for the better, and I couldn’t be more proud to represent such an awesome school with such awesome people.
What are your plans after graduation?
The initial out-of-school plan is still on the table, but it would be fantastic to own a business one day. Furthering my education is also a top priority once I have the money to do so.
What drew you to marketing?
Becky Pazkowski, a.k.a. Best Mom Ever, has always had a strong business side to her. She’s the primary reason to pursue marketing.
What organizations are you involved in?
Currently, I’m the President of Entertainment Unlimited, the Director of Public Relations for Student Government, a Finance Division Member, and active American Marketing Association Member and the host of Ferris Out Loud.
What type of interests or hobbies do you pursue outside of school?
My great friend Z and I play in Ferris’s premier acoustic comedic rap duo. Other than that, I like magic, movies, cuddling, long walks on the beach and trying to grow facial hair. Trying.
Who are your role models?
The obvious answer is my Mom and Dad, but they know that and everyone else knows that. With that being said, Hall and Oates are just the best people on this planet. They make a lot of dreams come true.
Any advice to students with a Marketing major?
With any major, my best advice would be to get involved outside of your major. Getting involved makes you a more rounded person that’s easier to work with and talk to.
