The FSU Computer Standards Committee is recommending that the following software packages be recognized as the standard software load supported for faculty and staff personal computers on campus:

1. Windows Operating System
2. Lotus Notes Electronic Mail Client
3. Internet Explorer
4. Mozilla Firefox
5. Symantec Endpoint Protection
6. Microsoft Office Suite
7. Novell Client for network connectivity
8. Acrobat Reader and Flash plug-ins

In a student computer open lab, we recommend the same software be installed on the machine with the following exceptions:

1. Lotus Notes will not be loaded on the machines for e-mail

Standard software recommended for Apple computers include:

1. iLife
2. Safari
3. Mac OSX
4. Lotus Notes
5. Mozilla Firefox
6. Symantec Endpoint Protection
7. Microsoft Office Suite
8. Acrobat Reader and Flash plug-ins

Departments that have additional software requirements or have programmatic requirements should contact their information technology support team for assistance.
