Sophomore Leadership Experience and Development (SLED) in Clark HallSLED Logo

The SLED House is a residential community which is housed on the 1st floor of Clark Hall (rooms 115-136). The mission of this program is to allow second year students an opportunity to enhance the leadership skills they've developed during their first year at Ferris. In addition, the SLED program will offer leadership and mentoring opportunities to first year students in the First Year Experience (FYE) program on the first, second and third floors of Clark Hall.

The SLED program will not only promote leadership and involvement, but will also ensure student success as they progress through their degree requirements. Clark Hall is a supportive living-learning environment that utilizes the rich resources available here at Ferris and in the Big Rapids community. Some of the exciting opportunities SLED House participants will be able to engage in include:

  • Gaining leadership career-enhancing skills
  • Participating in the facilitation of one or more programs for the FYE participants
