Your family member or friend is important to us, if you feel mental health counseling
could be beneficial to them, please encourage them to contact the Personal Counseling
Center to schedule an appointment.
While we are limited by privacy laws about disclosing information without a Release
of Information from your student, we can readily accept information or concerns from
you. We can also explain how we routinely work, what typically happens, our relationship
with other offices, and what our policies and procedures are here at the Personal
Counseling Center.
Questions and Concerns
To Make An Appointment
In response to COVID-19, the Personal Counseling Center is offering both in person
and teletherapy for currently enrolled students residing in Michigan.
- Students are directed to personally call 231-591-5968 or email [email protected] to schedule all appointments.
- After contacting the Personal Counseling Center, the required pre-appointment paperwork
will be made available to the student on the Healthy Dog Patient Portal.
- Once all paperwork is complete, the student will call the Personal Counseling Center
to schedule an appointment.
The Personal Counseling Center does not call students to initiate care; students must
voluntarily request services. In our experience, students are uncomfortable and anxious
receiving an unsolicited call from an unknown counselor.
There are certain times during the year that student demand is higher and may cause
a delay in scheduling.
