The Robert F. Williams Scholarship is offered to black students who have
earned at least sophomore status (30 semester hours) at Ferris State
University. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale,
involvement in extracurricular activities and a 500-word essay on why
you should receive the scholarship are also required. The scholarship
was established in the memory of Robert F. Williams, a former member of
the Ferris faculty who taught English and black literature and who led
the Ferris State College Voices of Freedom Choir.
