Do I need an appointment to be seen at the Health Center?
The Birkam Health Center is both a walk-in and appointment-based clinic for acute illnesses, accidents, and injuries. Walk-in patients are seen in the order they arrive, although more urgent cases are seen sooner. Those with more serious emergencies should consider going to the emergency room at Mecosta County Medical Center. During cold and flu season, time may not allow all who walk in to be seen during office hours. Coming in early usually gives the walk-in patient less of a waiting time to see the doctor. Appointments are required for certain services such as annual exams. Call (231) 591-2614 for more information.
