Congratulations on your upcoming graduation from Ferris State University! We invite you to participate in the Spring 2015 Commencement ceremony honoring your achievements and the successful completion of degree requirements.

You may attend the ceremony at Big Rapids on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9, 2015, or you may choose to attend the ceremony in Traverse City instead of the Big Rapids ceremony.

Commencement in Traverse City takes place in conjunction with Northwestern Michigan College. This year the event will be on:

Traverse City Central High School Gymnasium

Graduates who plan to attend the ceremony must RSVP no later than April 6, 2015, by calling the Traverse City office at (231) 995-1734 or (866) 857-1954.

Seating in the gymnasium is not reserved. All seats are available on a first-come basis to families and guests of graduates. Special Cap & Gown Notes for Traverse City Graduates
In addition to the below information, caps and gowns may be purchased by filling out the order form included in the graduation packet mailed to you in March. You now have the option of picking up your graduation cap and gown from the Traverse City regional office!

Students attending the Traverse City ceremony do not need to purchase honor cords, we will provide them to you at commencement.

Caps and Gowns
All candidates walking in the ceremonies must wear the traditional regalia (cap, gown, and tassel). Regalia may be purchased from the Ferris Bookstore in Big Rapids starting Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Note: After April 17, 2015 gown sizes may be limited, so please try to purchase your cap and gown early. More information regarding ordering your caps, gowns and announcements is available on the commencement website.

Regalia may be purchased at Ferris’ Graduation Fair on Tuesday, March 22, 2015 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm in the University Center in Big Rapids.

Your diploma will mailed to you approximately six (6) weeks after the completion of your degree requirements. You will receive a confirmation email sent to your email address from Ferris Diploma Status the day the diploma is mailed.

Standard graduation announcements may be purchased at the Ferris State University Bookstore in person or by calling (231) 591-2607. Grand Breakfast Buffet: Saturday Morning Before the Ceremony
This is an exciting event in your life, and one you will want to share! Please join us in celebrating your graduation from Ferris by attending the Grand Breakfast Buffet in Traverse City. There will be superb food, great companionship, giveaways, and an opportunity to share your college experiences with your family, friends, Ferris faculty and staff.
