That's exactly what you can achieve with the master's degree program in Career and Technical Education at Ferris State University. Previous teaching experience is not required. The strength of this program is that it enables career and technical instructors in allied health, business, home economics, and technical education at secondary and postsecondary levels, as well as industrial training and development personnel, to attain an advanced education by building on your previous training and occupational experience.

You can design your degree around one of the following specialties:

  • The Instructor concentration is designed primarily for vocational teachers who want to further your teaching skills and competence and enhance your subject-area expertise.
  • The Postsecondary Administration concentration is designed for persons seeking a position as a postsecondary administrator such as a community college or university coordinator or department head.
  • The Training and Development concentration is designed for persons who wish to work in the training and development field in business or industry.
