Health Information TechnologyAs a health information technician (also known as a medical record technician) you possess the technical knowledge and skills necessary to maintain components of medical record/health information systems consistent with the medical, administrative, ethical, legal, accrediting and regulatory requirements of the health-care delivery system. You will be eligible upon graduation to apply to write the accreditation examination administered by the American Health Information Management Association to become Registered Health Information Technicians (RHIT).
