In addition to the excellent career-oriented educational classes Ferris has to offer,
your son/daughter will be exposed to career preparation information starting their
first year. The Career Services Office, assists all students with resume preparation, interview opportunities, and workshops
on a variety of career preparation topics. Many opportunities are made available to
network with employers who want Ferris State University students. Two general job
fairs with an average of 100+ employers in attendance are held each year. Additional
employers also come through-out the year to interview students on our campus, saving
students time and money and giving them the ability to interview for positions they
might not otherwise have the chance to. Ferris State University even offers students
access to professional clothing at the First Lady’s Attic.
In today’s highly competitive job market, employers are looking for well-rounded
candidates. We encourage students to; hold leadership roles on or off campus through
Student Leadership and Activities, experience community service through the Volunteer Center, participate in one or more internship opportunities, and maintain a high GPA.
