Corporate and Professional Development (CPD) connects business and industry to resources and experience at Ferris State University.
CPD develops and administers real-world, practical talent and organization development solutions to form a stronger, more capable work force.
CPD's affiliation with Ferris State University and the College of Engineering Technology enables access to Faculty experts and options to train in CET's laboratories and classrooms. We provide the same excellence in business, health, and science services.
Customized training can be delivered in a manner most appropriate for our clients; on site, on campus, on-line, or other creative formats. Content can range from fundamental to the most cutting edge. CPD uses only well qualified instructors to carry forward the Ferris philosophy of practical and applied learning into the workplace.
CPD's association with the College of Engineering Technology affords an ideal environment for research and development. Professors with extensive industry background, students eager to apply their learning, and computer/laboratory resources can assist you in areas such as design, product/process development, testing, etc.
More than just courses. Job task analysis provided by CPD serves as a foundation for building continuous improvement and employee advancement strategies. Well defined job skills map a route for employee development and building a strong more capable work force. CPD can also develop and facilitate assessments for both knowledge and skills.
Credentials such as certificates of completion or continuing education units (CEU's) can be provided. Also, CPD's affiliation with Ferris enables the possibility of awarding college credit.
As a conduit for services at Ferris State University, CPD can provide services that span the resources of the University.
