Officer Decker is a patrol officer responsible for patrolling the campus. His duties include crime prevention, responding to emergency calls and protecting persons and property.

Officer Decker is a 2008 graduate of West Shore Community College police academy. Prior to being employed by Ferris State Police, Officer Decker was an officer for the village of Barryton, which is located on the northeast side of Mecosta County, and with the Reed City Police in Osceola County. He served as the school liaison officer for the Reed City Area Public Schools. Additionally, Officer Decker has been a firefighter in Reed City since 2002 and is certified in Fire Fighter I, hazmat awareness and is a medical first responder. Officer Decker enjoys spending time with his family, boating, fishing, hunting and being outdoors.
