The Department of Public Safety is scheduling presentations for a new program called "FlashPoint." FlashPoint is a one hour program designed to teach staff, faculty, and student’s methods of preventing acts of violence. This program includes:
- Defining campus violence
- Myths that accompany violent actions
- Identifying and responding to behaviors of concern
- Reporting concerning behaviors and threats
- Roadblocks to taking action and ways to overcome
This program is a prequel to the "Shots Fired," active shooter response, preparedness, and prevention program. If you would like to schedule a FlashPoint presentation for your class, student or employee group, please contact Officer William Saunders or Officer Nick Greenway at the Department of Public Safety by calling 231-591-5000 or e-mail email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
