Emergency Preparedness Programs

The Department of Public Safety is scheduling presentations for a program called FlashPoint. This program is a prequel to the Shots Fired active shooter response, preparedness and prevention program.

FlashPoint is a one hour program designed to teach staff, faculty and students methods of preventing acts of violence. This program includes:

  • Defining campus violence
  • Myths that accompany violent actions
  • Identifying and responding to behaviors of concern
  • Reporting concerning behaviors and threats
  • Roadblocks to taking action and ways to overcome

If you would like to schedule a FlashPoint Presentation for your class, student or employee group, please contact Officer Saunders or Officer Greenway.
