There are some basic technology needs for successful online learning.  You will need to have consistent and reliable access to a computer, a sufficiently fast internet connection, and appropriate versions of software.

The computer you use will need to be able to run software and have enough memory and speed to handle the computing needs of an online course.

The current (2013) minimum requirements are:

Windows Computers

  • Windows 7 or newer
  • 4 GB RAM
  • Greater than 160 GB hard drive

Apple Computers

    • 4 GB RAM
    • Greater than 160 GB hard drive
