Free Obstacle Course Event Set for Oct. 28, Part of Disability Awareness Month

In an effort to strengthen awareness of what people who have a disability experience, a free four-part obstacle course will be set up, at Ferris State University, on Friday, Oct. 28 in University Center, Room 202A. The event runs from 12 to 4 p.m.

This obstacle course is part of Ferris’ Disability Awareness Month programming, and is being hosted by Educational Counseling and Disabilities Services. The goal is for course participants to learn about the everyday life challenges endured by people with disabilities. Each participant, in the interactive activity, is entered into a drawing for a mystery prize. Participants who wear Halloween costumes will earn two mystery-prize entries. Free food will be served.
