The Bulldog Motorsports Club Car Show is Coming to Ferris April 25

Ferris State UniversityThe Bulldog Motorsports Club will be hosting the “Ferris State Car Show” on Saturday, April 25 from noon to 5 p.m. at Ferris State University’s Automotive Building.

“This is the first time that we have ever done anything like this and we are hoping that we can make this an annual event,” said Darrell Nobel, vice president of the Bulldog Motorsports Club.

The Ferris State Car Show is open to all cars and trucks and will include classic, domestic, import and truck classes. Patrons attending the car show will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite cars in each class. One “Best in Show” cash prize will be awarded.

This event is free and open to the public. For people who would like to enter a car or a truck in the show, pre-registration costs are $5, or $8 the day of the event.

“You are going to see a lot of homegrown, home-built and personalized rides,” said Nobel, a senior in Automotive Management from Wixom, Mich. “A lot of us build cars up here in Big Rapids, right in our garages.”

Nobel believes that there is a lot of excitement brewing about the event.

“We have had a lot of interest from people that are going to convoy up from Detroit,” Nobel said. “We even have people saying that they are coming from Canada, Illinois and Iowa.”

The Bulldog Motorsports Club is a Ferris registered student organization that connects students with a passion for automobiles, providing a safe environment for members to network, learn and participate in performance motor sports.
