This Week at Ferris (Sept. 1-6)

Ferris State UniversityFerris State University’s Fall 2014 semester is now fully underway, but the opportunities for students to stay involved continue.

The week starts off with Labor Day, on Monday, Sept. 1.

Here is a list of events coming up during the next week.


Monday, Sept. 1

Labor Day – No classes and all University offices are closed


Tuesday, Sept. 2

5 to 8 p.m., UREC – Rec Fest

All aspects of UREC will be showcased at this event.

Saturday, Sept. 6

9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Northend Riverside Park, Big Rapids – Out of the Darkness Walk

This is a community walk to help raise awareness about suicide and suicide prevention, registration will begin at 9 a.m. prior to the walk.  Walkers who raise a minimum of $150 will be given a t-shirt from AFSP.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wink Arena in the Ewigleben Sports Complex at FSU – FSU Dance Team Tryouts

Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in, not too baggy or bulky. You may wear whatever type of dance shoe or go barefoot. There will be a $10 tryout fee.
