Beyond Series Resumes with a Focus on Diversity Throughout the Academic Year

Ferris State University is presenting “Beyond: Diversity” to promote diversity on campus and beyond. This year’s edition of the continuing series is a collaborative effort co-sponsored by the offices of International Education and Multicultural Student Services as well as the Diversity and Inclusion Office.

“Beyond: Diversity” series include events throughout the academic year designed to promote diversity at Ferris. Some of the featured events will include book study groups, educational banners, panel discussion, workshops and more.

David Pilgrim, vice president for Diversity and Inclusion, looks forward seeing how the events will play out to, he hopes, enrich the university community.

“When I think of the Beyond initiative, I think that it is an opportunity to explore a topic in great depth,” Pilgrim said. “For one year, this campus will host a range of activities all designed to get us, as an institution, to think of diversity in a much deeper way.”
