Students new to Ferris State University will have an opportunity to socialize with other students during Minority Student Get Acquainted Day on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center.
Department and Registered Student Organization tables will show students the variety of student organizations that Ferris has to offer. Students can also enter giveaways for prizes and enjoy free food. The event will end with the annual "March Down" presentation by the Black Greek Council.
“With this event, we want to provide an opportunity for minority students to connect with student leaders, student organizations, and supportive departments in a welcoming and festive atmosphere,” said Michael Wade, assistant director of the Office of Multicultural Student Services.
Minority Student Get Acquainted Day is a part of Bulldog Beginnings, a series of events that aims to help students get their new semester started.
The OMSS puts this event on annually to help students connect with one another and find possible groups and organizations to join.
