‘Secret Mantra – Losing the Root Language of Vietnam’ Featured at Artworks

Secret Mantra – Losing the Root Language of Vietnam“Secret Mantra – Losing the Root Language of Vietnam,” is currently being featured at Artworks in Big Rapids. The exhibit debuted on April 4 and will run through Friday, May 30 in the Upper Gallery.

Vietnamese artist Le Quoc Viet’s installation, Secret Mantra, is a historic exhibition containing 150 of his calligraphy lanterns. Each lantern is 10 to 14 feet tall and 20 inches in diameter. The lanterns are made of various colors of silk and covered with Viet’s calligraphy.

Viet’s tubes are made from various colors of silk and are covered with his calligraphy.

Artworks is located in downtown Big Rapids at 106 N. Michigan Avenue. This Ferris State University Rankin Art Gallery exhibit is being featured at Artworks during the renovation of the University Center.
