University Recreation Center Hosts Easter Egg Hunt March 26 at Ferris

Easter Egg HuntThe Easter Bunny will hop by Ferris State University and scatter eggs all over Top Taggart Field for students and Big Rapids children to find during the University Recreation Center’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Tuesday, March 26.

More than 4,000 eggs will be filled with goodies, including candy and gift cards to local businesses, for the event, which begins at 5 p.m. for Ferris students and at 6 p.m. for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

“This is a fun event, because it takes (students) back to their childhood,” said Fernando Labra, Ferris’ Intramural and Club Sports coordinator. “Everyone remembers the thrill of egg hunts on Easter morning and the joy it brought. This is an opportunity to take them back for a moment for pure fun and pure play.”

Cost is $3. Ferris students can sign up using their MyFSU account through Intramural Leagues. Parents can sign up their children at the Student Recreation Center before the event or at the registration table before the hunt. Signups close 15 minutes before the event begins.
