Comedian Chad Daniels will tell you he’s funny. And if that’s not enough motivation
to come to his show, he’ll say you’re just being difficult.
The popular comedian, a veteran of “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” “The Late
Late Show” and “Comedy Central Presents,” will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31
at Ferris State University. The free show, in the Rankin Student Center Dome Room,
is open to the public.
“His jokes are original, relatable and just plain hilarious,” said Jennifer Hager of
Entertainment Unlimited, the campus programming board. “He does such a great job making
the audience laugh.”
Daniels is familiar to West Michigan audiences. He is the reigning Gilda’s LaughFest
Seriously Funny Comedian, a title he won along with $10,000 in 2012’s Stand Up Comedy
Competition during the 10-day annual festival in Grand Rapids.
“This is an interesting event for students to attend because everyone enjoys a good
laugh,” Hager said. “It’s also a nice way to relieve stress and help students get
away from any kind of hectic schedules they might have.”
Daniels, a regular at prestigious comedy festivals worldwide, released his latest
CD, “You’re the Best,” and an online special, “As Is,” on laughspin.com in June.
